Use more of your own solar energy
Store solar energy in your home battery. Use it later, for example after sunset. This reduces the electricity you need to buy at that time.
SMARTER ENERGY AT HOME
JOXU helps you use electricity at better times. Charge your battery and car when prices are low or the sun is shining. Heat your water at a cheaper time. See it all on your phone or computer.

JOXU ENERGY
Tell JOXU what matters to you, such as a charged car before you leave or enough hot water. JOXU makes a plan. Automatic control requires suitable equipment and an enabled connection.
Store solar energy in your home battery. Use it later, for example after sunset. This reduces the electricity you need to buy at that time.
If your electricity price changes by the hour or quarter hour, JOXU looks for cheaper charging times. It can also plan sales when the expected return covers costs and losses. You choose your battery limits.
Set your departure time and how full your car should be. JOXU plans charging around cheap electricity or solar energy. Automatic charging is available with a suitable Zaptec Pro or Go 2 when control is enabled for your installation.
JOXU chooses cheaper times to heat water for showers and taps. Choose a setting, from extra comfort to lower energy use. This requires a suitable, enabled hot-water connection.
Let JOXU handle things automatically, or choose what your battery, charger or hot-water device should do. Choose Read only to view data without JOXU controlling that device.
Check electricity use, battery levels and prices. Look ahead at expected solar energy and prices. Forecasts can change. Your history shows available measurements from earlier days.
JOXU is still being developed. A listed brand does not mean every model works. We check your model and its connection. Some connections are still being tested in practice.
GoodWe: view data and, for suitable models, control locally through a small Wi-Fi board. The connection is documented for the GW15K-ETA-G20. Growatt: a test connection for viewing data, without automatic control.
Zaptec Pro and Go 2: smart charging when enabled for your installation. Easee and Tesla Wall Connector: test connections for viewing data. JOXU does not yet control these two chargers.
Mitsubishi Electric through MELCloud, Viessmann through ViCare, Vaillant through myVAILLANT and Daikin through Onecta. Features vary by model. Some connections are still being tested. Hot water means water for showers and taps.
Audi, BMW, Tesla and Lynk & Co: connections to read the battery percentage where available. Access depends on the model and manufacturer. JOXU does not send charging commands to the car itself. You can enter the battery percentage yourself without a car connection.
You pay nothing for the JOXU service throughout 2026 and 2027. Take your time to explore smart control and the improvements we add.
For 2028, we expect a price of around €20–€30 per year. This is an estimate, not a final price. With all the smart controls, we expect you to save more than this amount easily. Your savings depend on your equipment, usage and energy contract.
This covers the JOXU service. Equipment, installation and any charges from other providers are separate.
These JOXU screens use example numbers. They do not show other customers’ data.

GOODWE ESA & ETA
The board is called an ESP32. It connects JOXU to your inverter, the device that makes energy from your panels or battery usable in your home. You can buy a suitable board and install the JOXU software yourself. Our guide explains the steps.
The first customers in the Netherlands receive an ESP32 in exchange for energy-installation data. We agree in advance which data we use to improve JOXU.
These are our plans. They are not all available yet and have no fixed launch dates.
We are developing Optimum: a smarter hot-water plan based on expected shower times and the water available in your tank. The goal is enough hot water with less unnecessary heating.
You can already view available heat-pump data. Automatic control of home heating is a future step. Viewing data does not switch your heating on or off.
NIBE through myUplink and Samsung through SmartThings EHS are on our hot-water list. We also want to support more inverter brands, such as Huawei, Sungrow, SMA and Solis, and plan charging for several cars at once.
We always follow up on requests. Want another brand, a new feature or clearer instructions? Email us. We look at every request and discuss what is possible. What we can build and when depends on the technology and the time needed.
We work with our partner Cloudflare for protected access. Our server creates an encrypted outbound connection to Cloudflare, called a Cloudflare Tunnel. This makes our website and JOXU portal reachable without publicly exposing the server’s application ports. Your browser connects to Cloudflare over HTTPS. The Wi-Fi board at home separately retrieves JOXU commands over HTTPS. It opens no port in your router and gives JOXU no general access to your home network.
The JOXU service stays free throughout 2026 and 2027. For 2028, we expect around €20–€30 per year. That price is not final. Equipment and charges from other providers are separate.
No. Choose what you want, such as a charged car before departure. We explain the steps. Some equipment may need extra help to connect. Feel free to email us.
Check the brands and features above. Not every model is suitable. Send us your brand and model if you are unsure.
Not for smart car charging: that can work with a suitable charger without a home battery. Other features depend on your equipment.
Yes, please. We always follow up on requests and discuss what is possible. We cannot promise every feature can be built immediately.
Smart charging, using your own solar energy and heating water at cheaper times can reduce your costs. We expect these savings to comfortably cover the proposed 2028 annual price. The amount varies by household and contract.
